The Kernels will be wearing special Beat Cancer jerseys that are sponsored by District 9EC Lions Club and Beat Cancer Today.

These jerseys will be for auction via the LiveSource app and proceeds will benefit Beat Cancer Today.

Funds will go to BeatCancerToday.org, which is an Iowa-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed by Iowa families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer. Beat Cancer Today’s mission is to create awareness of childhood cancers and to provide financial support for childhood cancer research via Children’s Oncology Group and University of Iowa Dance Marathon, patient and family support programs through partnership with Children’s Cancer Connection, and scholarships for survivors and siblings.

Beat Cancer Today’s mission is to create awareness of childhood cancers and to provide financial support for childhood cancer research, scholarships, and for patient and family support programs. Formed by Iowa families whose children have been diagnosed with childhood cancer, Beat Cancer Today raises funds through t-shirt sales and special events and distributes those funds to Children’s Cancer Connection, Children’s Oncology Group, and University of Iowa Dance Marathon.
